THPRD's Elsie Stuhr Center runs a specialized recreation program for teens and adults with developmental disabilities.  On Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m., volunteers assist with dancing, arts and crafts, cooking, and a variety of other activities that enhance the social skills and personal well-being of these individuals. This is a year-round volunteer opportunity. 

Volunteers instruct participants of all abilities and help manage the safety concerns of this unique recreation program.  An ability to work cooperatively and create a positive, constructive relationship with families, staff, participants, and general public is needed.
