Planning & Development - John Quincy Adams Young (JQAY) House

In early 2006, THPRD's Board of Directors approved a property management plan developed by the John Quincy Adams Young House Ad Hoc Advisory Committee. The district's Planning & Development staff  worked with consultants to refine the approved management plan into a master plan for the house and site which includes opportunities for restoration and interpretation. Below are the documents from the first master planning open house held on June 20, 2007:

  1. Process Diagram
  2. Existing Conditions

  5. Preliminary Adhoc Plan
  6. Inventory & Analysis

  9. Preferred Plan
  10. Floor Plans & Elevations
The THPRD Board approved the JQAY House and Site Master Plan at their October 2007 regular board meeting, and the Tualatin Hills Park Foundation has been asked to raise funds for implementation of the recommendations made in the master plan. The Planning & Development staff is also working with Peter Meijer, historic architect, on nominating the house to the National Historic Register.
