Community Gardens

Beaverton-area residents do not have to travel far to experience the natural beauty that surrounds them.  That's because wherever they go, a THPRD park is likely to be nearby, and many of those parks provide opportunities for an up-close look at forests, lakes, streams and wildlife.  Parks also offer a wide range of recreational activities for children and adults.  Overall, THPRD maintains more than 200 park sites, promoting good health and a higher quality of life for everyone in the community.

Another popular feature of the Park District is its extensive urban trail system. With more than 35 miles of trails, many of which are multi-use, residents can enjoy the outdoors at their own pace.  Two must-see trail destinations are the 222-acre Tualatin Hills Nature Park and the historic Jenkins Estate on Cooper Mountain.
