Scout Projects Available! The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District supports Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs through numerous project opportunities, including Eagle Scout and Gold Award projects, as well as stewardship projects for groups of Scouts. If you are interested in any of the opportunites listed below, please call Melissa Marcum at 503/629-6305, extension  2953, or send an e-mail to mmarcum@thprd.com.Eagle Scout/Gold Award Projects Weed mapping at district parks (for example: clematis, holly, and ivy). Restoration projects - Invasive plant removal accompanied by planting natives throughout the Park District.  Scouting Group Projects Native plant salvage - Digging up native plants for relocation to restoration sites. Restoration projects - Invasive plant removal and native plantings throughout the district. Trail maintenance - Adding wood chips or gravel at selected parks throughout the district . |
