This nine-month program provides a nurturing and understanding environment to introduce your child to a foreign language.

Our primary goal is to present a program of meaningful experiences in living and learning.  Instructors will encourage socialization, cooperation and sensitivity towards others.  We will help students learn positive work habits, follow directions, work independently, and develop strong listening skills and personal responsibility.

The curriculum includes identification of upper and lower case letters.  French pronunciation of the alphabet will be covered and students will learn to write their names.  Phonics will be used for reading readiness and number recognition to 20 in both languages.  Identification of eight common colors will also be taught in both languages.  Fine motor development will be encouraged by using crayons, pencils and markers; cutting with scissors; playing with clay; and tracing letters, objects and shapes with stencils.

This nine-month program during the school year strives to lay an educational foundation that is socially, emotionally and academically sound.

Using developmentally appropriate practices, we teach children through a balance of play and academic experiences. Safety, kindness, and respect are demonstrated and nurtured in this environment. Students learn to follow direction and routines and get along with others. They are given opportunities and guidance in developing positive communication and problem-solving skills. The curriculum includes strengthening fine motor skills using writing tools and scissors in preparation for the actual writing process.

Students learn to write their names. Creative art is explored through mixed media. Reading readiness skills using a phonics approach is introduced and fostered. Some students are budding readers by the end of the year. Uppercase and lowercase letter recognition as well as number recognition to 20 is promoted. Seasonal parties with parent-aided, parent-attended, periodic field trips, and others with specialty visitors provide a school experience with excitement, fun and festivity.

KIDS FIRST
3 ½ - 4 years of age

T/Th 9 - 11 a.m.
$95 per month

This is a nine-month program that provides a positive, safe and nurturing first preschool experience.

Children learn routines, how to follow direction and how to get along with new “friends,"  They also learn that it is OK to be away from Mom/Dad for a period of time.

Developmentally appropriate practices are used in an environment where children can explore, role-play, experiment, and create. While this is mainly a year of socialization and learning through a play experience, children are introduced to colors and shapes and encouraged to communicate in front of classmates using a variety of methods.

Opportunities for stories and song are provided on a daily basis. Children are taught and encouraged to become self-reliant, thus laying a foundation for positive self-esteem. Seasonal parties with parent helpers and parent-attended field trips add some frivolity to the preschool class.
